Maintenance Assistant (Custodial)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• · Assists in the interior and exterior janitorial needs, building maintenance, and ground keeping assignments.
• · Assists in moving furniture, equipment, or fixtures as required.
• · Assists with the planting, pruning, fertilizing, and transplanting of flowers, shrubs, trees, and bushes etc.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: · Knowledge of methods, tools, materials and equipment used in grounds and maintenance work.

• · Knowledge of methods and techniques of mowing, edging, pruning and trimming.
• · Ability to properly use of cleaning products and equipment
• · Capable of following verbal and written instructions
• · Ability to read and understand labels and directions

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: · High school graduate or equivalent.

• · Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
